be most reassuring to pupils.
Using the mark scheme as a learning tool AFTER attempting the paper is a further method to help
A top tip is to try to approach the paper as you would in the exam, no notes and in timed conditions (and of course phones away!).
Remember teachers can also provide question banks to create multiple papers.
Say it Loud!

When trying to revise content a great tip is to say it aloud! This can be talking through with friends or family, telling yourself in the mirror or sharing key facts with your childhood teddies!
They say if you know it you can teach it! So try explaining to an empty room the reasons for the Wall Street Crash or how to approach a 6 mark biology question!
Flash Cards

Flashcards are a must for many pupils. They allow pupils to prepare short sharp revision prompt notes that can be carried around and referred to regularly!
Flashcards are available in different sizes and colours which can really help with memory; they are worth the investment!
For those who prefer a digital approach then flashcards are available via quizlet. Pupils can find pre prepared flashcards on topics such as WJEC GCSE Chemistry Unit 1
Linking or making stories to remember facts
For subjects like Geography and Science, making up revision songs or rhymes can help retain information. YouTube is great for finding songs made by teachers to help make facts stick.

Just search “GCSE revision songs for [subject]” and you’ll find a treasure trove of tunes that will stick in your head – and probably in the exam, too!
FLORA app
There are a host of apps available to help manage screen time and support focused revision. The Flora App is one that is particularly good as you grow a tree as you complete focused sessions. The more you study, the more plants and trees you unlock, and your phone stays locked on the app. This can help motivate as total study time accumulates on the homepage.
