Supporting Positive Mental Health & Wellbeing for our pupils at Kings Monkton School. 

Each week focuses on a key wellbeing area with easy, daily activities.


Week 1: Connection & Kindness

✔ Positive relationships boost wellbeing

Monday: Smile and say hello to 3 people

Tuesday: Make a kindness card or picture for someone

Wednesday: Do a helpful job at home

Thursday: Share your favourite joke or funny story

Friday: Tell someone one thing you like about them

Saturday: Call or message a friend or family member

Sunday: Reflect – What’s one kind thing you did this week?


Week 2: Move for Mood

✔ Exercise boosts mood and energy

Monday: Go for a walk and notice 5 things in nature

Tuesday: Dance to your favourite song

Wednesday: Stretch your body for 5 minutes

Thursday: Play outside – running, skipping, or riding a bike

Friday: Do a short yoga or relaxation video

Saturday: Try a new sport or active game

Sunday: Reflect – How did movement help your mood this week?


Week 3: Creativity for Calm

✔ Creative activities support emotional wellbeing

Monday: Draw or colour something that makes you happy

Tuesday: Build something – Lego, sandcastles, or junk modelling

Wednesday: Write a short story or poem

Thursday: Create music – sing, play, or make sounds

Friday: Design a ‘Happy Place’ picture or collage

Saturday: Try painting or crafting with natural objects

Sunday: Reflect – How did being creative make you feel?


Week 4: Mindful Moments

✔ Mindfulness helps with focus and emotional balance

Monday: Take 5 deep breaths, slow and calm

Tuesday: Listen carefully – what quiet sounds can you hear?

Wednesday: Use your 5 senses – notice what you see, hear, smell, touch, and taste

Thursday: Watch the clouds or stars for a few minutes

Friday: Do a short guided relaxation (use an app or video)

Saturday: Sit quietly and notice your feelings without judgement

Sunday: Reflect – How did mindfulness help you feel calm?


Week 5: Gratitude & Positivity

✔ Gratitude builds happiness and resilience

Monday: List 3 things you’re grateful for today

Tuesday: Think of a positive memory and share it

Wednesday: Smile at yourself in the mirror and say “I’m proud of me”

Thursday: Keep a gratitude journal or draw happy moments

Friday: Celebrate a small success or achievement

Saturday: Find beauty in nature – notice colours and shapes

Sunday: Reflect – What’s one thing that made you smile this week?


Anytime Wellbeing Boosters:

  • Drink water regularly
  • Get fresh air daily
  • Talk to someone you trust
  • Take screen breaks
  • Laugh and play
